After graduating from Stanford University, Matthew Romain, a Sony engineer, contributed to the founding and sale of Kick.com and Yahoo! Jointly founded in 2009 by Matthew Skulm, Product Manager of Messenger and Sony Utamo. Under the mission of “to create a world where everyone can understand and disseminate information from all over the world,” the company developed a cloud-type human translation platform and translation service.provided. Only translators who pass the translation test of 7% are registered on the platform. The translator translates from SNS and product names to full-fledged business documents and websites at a reasonable price of 4 yen per character. As of 2015, more than 15,000 translators have been registered and are currently working in 37 languages. In August 2015, DBJ Capital Vector was underwriting and funding was raised by a Rights Offering. The company plans to strengthen its domestic and overseas business and strengthen its development system for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics in the future.
